Playstation Plus members can download the Mortal Kombat Demo today and then it will be available to regular PSN members next week.


The demo comprises of 4 Characters – Scorpion, Sub Zero, Mileena and Johnny Cage. and 2 Arenas – The Living Forest and The Pit

I haven’t played a Mortal Kombat game since the Snes/Megadrive era. But I’m glad to say Mortal Kombat has got a lot faster. Double tap to dash It feels more like a hybrid between the new and the old. Fluid movement means stringing together combos is much easier than I remember from back in the day

With the 4 characters, playing 4 fights in the ladder option there isn’t much variety (in this demo at least) of the character costumes so I found myself sometimes getting confused mid air throw to who I actually was.

Theres a stage is pretty cool as off in the distance you can see two other fighters battling it out

The major new edition to Mortal Kombat this go around are those of X Ray moves which are brutal moves that slow down the action and are a kin to that of Street Fighter 4′s Ultra Combo’s.
